Artist's Comments
Out of all the IB art show pieces, this is one of the few that I really liked. Although this started out as a still life of a papier-mache statue at my art teacher's studio, I gradually stopped looking at the statue and just painted the thing however I wanted to. It was cool.
 This painting goes with my theme of "Fairy tales" and is meant to show how Don Quixote was living in a fairy tale with his impractical, chivalrous ways. The background is meant to look like the backdrop of a play and the blue part underneath is just cloth, not water. This was painted with acrylics and the original size is 24" x 30". It was finished in December of 2006. I'm going to put up only a few more pieces from the art show. Not all, because I don't like most of them.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
